Dr. John P. Pruitt
Dr. John P. Pruitt received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University. Dr. Pruitt attained the rank of Major in the U.S. Army Reserve Dental Corps.

Dr. Pruitt has been in private practice in Winston-Salem since 1980. He has a special interest and post-graduate training in Periodontics, Children's Dentistry, and Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Pruitt was awarded the Title of Fellow in 1990 and the Title of Master in 1996 by the Academy of General Dentistry. He was inducted as a Fellow into the Academy of Dentistry International in 2000 and was elected president of the North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry in 2008.

Dr. Pruitt is past president of the Forsyth County Dental Society and is a former member of the Education Committee of the North Carolina Dental Society. He has served as a Delegate with the North Carolina Dental Society and presently serves on the advisory board of the North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry. He has an ongoing commitment to local and international voluntary dental mission projects. These projects have involved the delivery of care, organization of overseas teams, and teaching in foreign countries.

Dr. Pruitt has outpatient staff privileges with Forsyth Medical Center and is the dental consultant for Springwood Care, The Oaks, and Whitaker Rehabilitation Center.
